1. PURPOSE OF THIS TOOL
Kognito Interview Coach is an AI-powered tool designed to help users practice and analyze their interview performance. The tool records audio, converts it to text using speech-to-text technology, and provides AI-generated performance analysis.
2. RECORDING CONSENT & LEGAL COMPLIANCE
a) You acknowledge that this tool records audio from your microphone and/or system audio (from video conferencing applications such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet).
b) You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable federal, state, local, and international laws regarding audio recording, including but not limited to one-party and all-party consent laws.
c) You agree to obtain explicit consent from all participants before recording any real interview or conversation. Failure to do so may violate wiretapping, eavesdropping, or privacy laws in your jurisdiction.
d) Kognito is not liable for any legal consequences arising from your use of this recording tool without proper consent from all parties involved.
3. DATA STORAGE & PRIVACY
a) Audio recordings are stored on secure Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) and are encrypted at rest.
b) Recordings are stored under your user ID only — no names, email addresses, or personal identifiers of any participant are stored with the recording.
c) Transcripts are generated using OpenAI Whisper API and stored alongside the audio.
d) AI analysis is performed using large language models and stored in our database.
e) Only you can access your recordings, transcripts, and analysis reports.
f) Audio recordings are automatically deleted after 30 days.
4. PERMITTED USE
a) Personal interview practice and self-improvement.
b) Recording conversations where all parties have given explicit consent.
c) Analyzing your own interview performance for career development.
5. PROHIBITED USE
a) Recording any person without their knowledge and explicit consent.
b) Using recordings for harassment, blackmail, defamation, or any unlawful purpose.
c) Distributing, sharing, or publishing recordings of other individuals.
d) Using this tool in jurisdictions where audio recording is prohibited regardless of consent.
6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
a) Kognito provides this tool "as-is" for educational and self-improvement purposes.
b) Kognito shall not be held responsible for any damages, legal actions, or consequences resulting from the use or misuse of this tool.
c) AI-generated analysis is for guidance only and should not be considered professional career advice.
